Is this you?
- I can’t do it alone.
- I want to clear out my wardrobe but I am not sure how or where to begin.
- I am embarrassed to let someone into my closet.
- I don’t know my style.
Over the years, working with both men and women, I have designed a styling process that is simple and effective. I will get to know you. Before diving in and giving fashion advice, I wil go over your needs, your lifestyle, your work, and fashion goals. My goal is to make this process simple, stress-free, and fun!
Below is my 6-step styling process to a better-dressed you!
Step 1: Setup your telephone appointment to discuss your personal style needs.
We’ll begin the styling process with a casual conversation over the phone about what you hope to achieve. I’ll go into more detail on how I work so that you feel comfortable working with me. At the end, I will provide an estimated cost.
Step 2: $100 appointment deposit
Book your appointment and pay your deposit (credit cards accepted). The deposit blocks time on my calendar for you and only you! You are committed, and so am I!
Step 3: Complete My Style Questionnaire
I like to begin your experience by completing a detailed style questionnaire. This allows me to learn a little bit about your personality and style. It also helps me to understand your specific taste, budget, and goals.
Step 4: Complete Your Pre-Work
Grab a fashion magazine or two and cut out some pictures or simply look online. Think about the image you want to project and the style you want to own. This helps me see what you have in mind. Imagery like this is a powerful tool.
Next, you will organize your closet by like items (Pants together, tops together, jackets together, etc.) before our appointment. This saves you time and money, and makes our appointment run more efficiently (unless you are hiring me for a Closet Overhaul)
Step 5: Style Consultation Appointment
We start our appointment together by reviewing your goals and determine your body shape and which cuts of clothing will be most flattering on your unique shape.
Then, in your closet, we review your existing wardrobe. Keeping in mind your style goals and body shape, we discuss which items work and which pieces need to go. We determine what core wardrobe pieces are missing and develop a shopping plan for you. We make outfits for your “Lone Ranger” pieces (those pieces with which you have nothing to wear) and provide you with accessorizing how-to’s that you can use.
Sometimes we find that people have enough flattering clothing, and all they really need is a fresh eye to look at their wardrobe. I can help you mix outfits from your existing wardrobe. Ultimately, your time is customized to meet your needs.
Step 6: Next Steps
At the end of our first appointment, I will review my recommendations, discuss the next steps (shopping etc.) and leave you with a wardrobe needs plan.
When we are done, you will feel more confident.
